- Place butter beans in a large bowl cover the beans with 1 inch of water. Soak the beans overnight in the fridge..
- <Next morning > place your smoked neckbones in your slow cooker cover with water and cook for 1 hr..
- Add onion and Butter beans to the slow cooker..
- Add enough water to just cover the beans. We did not add seasoning yet because it will make the beans tough..
- Cook for 4 hours. Covered..
